You need a converter software to translate EDIFACT files, respectively into the dataformat from an application system.
The Export
The following possibilities can export data form the application system:
1.The software has an EDI-export-interface which prepare the data in the EDIFACT-format immediatly. This software includes already a converter. In other cases, an external converter has to be used, some like EDI4ALL.
2.The solution which frequently used requierd preperation of the data from the application by softwarespezific possibility of output (interfaces, listings, or alike). The structered informations will compiled from the converter into the EDIFACT-format.The EDI-converter from esc/e is easy to use because of it's modularly expandable Structure. 3.EDI4ALL enabled data from the application to approprivate by a default-windows-printer driver. This advanced printer driver has imployed his own EDI-converter which discard the EDI-data in a special file. From this file the transfer acn be started to your business-partner.
The Transfer
It isn't defined which way the data take from the transmitter to the consignee - all desception of transfer (eMail, FTP, other protocols or mailboxsystems) could used for transport EDIFACT news. The technical conditions in most of the firms are given because of a computer, a modem and a telefon connection.
The Import
The automatical import of the data to the own database supposed an obversly functionality to the application system. This isn't given for the most software from little and average firms. Like point 2, most of the firms doesn't need this functionality absolutely. The converter EDI2TXT enables the user to create and process vouchers from the arriving EDI data. This converter is available as an OEM-Version which you can hand on to your business-partners.
